Samuel Lee Allman

Samuel Lee Allman, 81, of Concord, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at his home with his family by his side. He was born on May 10, 1944, to the late Raymond and Annebelle Kiser Allman in Cabarrus County.

Sam graduated from Winecoff School in 1963. He then was drafted into the U.S. Army and served two years. Sam worked as a locksmith for Fieldcrest Cannon for many, many years.

Sam married the love of his life, Thomasine Caudill in December of 1966. When Sam wasn’t being grouchy, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Sam will be missed by his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of nearly 59 years, Tommie; his three children, Donna (Rick) Barrier, Johnny Allman and Bobby (Sonja) Allman; his four grandchildren, Kecia (Rick) Wenkel, Melissa (Charles) Miller, Liane (Mike) Bingham and Hunter (Kandace) Allman; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Jim Allman; one sister, Mary Helms; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sarah Starnes.

Sam’s family will receive friends and relatives for a time of gathering on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Whitley’s Funeral Home. No formal service will be held.
