Rosa Lee Upright

Rosa Lee Upright, 96, of Kannapolis, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 1, 2024, at Deal Care Inn, following a period of declining health.

Born January 3, 1928, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Charles Crawford Upright and Fannie Mae Overcash Upright. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Connie Burris, Elsie Whitman, Georgia Seaford and Margie Church; and a brother, Junior Upright.

Rosa had retired from Zaire’s after 20 years of faithful service. She loved her family and enjoyed blue grass music, her cats and flowers. A loving sister, aunt and friend, Rosa will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.

Family members left with cherished memories include her brother, Robert Upright; sister, Doris Hodge; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Graveside services to celebrate and remember Rosa will begin at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at West Lawn Memorial Park, conducted by Pastor James Pauley.
