Ronald Steve Bonkowski

Obituary: Ronald Steve Bonkowski, 68, of Kannapolis, went to be with the Lord on February 8, 2017 from CMC-Main in Charlotte. He was born June 24, 1948 in Bronx, New York. He was the son of the late Stephen Bonkowski and Hazel Bonkowski. Ronald worked at Pillowtex-Cannon Mills for 38 years. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017 at Epworth United Methodist Church, 1030 Burrage Rd NE, Concord officiated by Rev. Wayne Allen. Ronald is survived by his wife, Judy Cochran Bonkowski, brothers, Larry Bonkowski of Lancaster, SC, Teddy Wayne Smith of Columbia, SC, step daughter, Robin Honeycutt of Concord, Stepson, John Drye of Concord, step grandchildren, Kaylie Drye, Ashley Verbal, Johnathan Drye, Bryson Honeycutt and Ethan Drye. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for Judy C. Bonkowski, 135 Westover Ave., Kannapolis, NC 28081 to help with medical expenses.
