Roger Dwight Knotts

Roger Dwight Knotts, 75, of Salisbury, passed away, Friday, February 6, 2026 at the VA Hospice House in Salisbury.

He was born June 23, 1950, in Mecklenburg County, to the late Wallace Knotts and Artela (Sweeney) Knotts.

Roger was a veteran of the U.S. Marines serving during Vietnam War and also served in the U.S. Navy. For many years Roger was a cook at Waffle House. He was a minister of God’s word and enjoyed studying the bible. He loved to fish and enjoyed watching football when the Panthers were winning, he was a very loving and devoted husband, he will be dearly missed.

Those left to cherish his memory, his wife Doris Hargett Knotts, his son Sam Knotts, two grandchildren Aiden and Mason Knotts, a brother Randy Knotts, a sister Jane Marshall, also many nieces and nephews survive.

A graveside service will be held 12:00 PM Friday, February 13, 2026 at Westlawn Memorial Park with Evangelist Ray Hargett officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at Whitley’s Funeral Home.
