Rocky Wagner

Rocky Wagner, 70, of Kannapolis, North Carolina, entered his heavenly home on January 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Rocky lived a life marked by devotion—to his family, his work, and his faith. He was the proud owner of RW Sportswear, which grew into a true family business and became a trusted name throughout the area. He poured his heart into serving teams, businesses, and community groups, always delivering quality and care.

A hardworking man with a gentle heart, Rocky loved fishing, spending time at the beach, and sharing life with his wife, Shelley, his partner and best friend for 29 years. They were inseparable, doing everything side by side, and their bond was admired by everyone who knew them.

Rocky had the gift of gab and truly never met a stranger. Once you met him, you never forgot him. His warmth, humor, and easy conversation made people feel instantly at home.

Rocky is survived by his loving wife, Shelley Wagner, and his five boys, Jon Wagner (wife Haley), Zach Wagner, Daniel Wagner (wife Joanie), Chris Wagner (wife Jenn) and Hunter Allman (wife Dara).

He was a proud grandfather to Landon, Hyatt, Lilly, MJ, Mary, Juno, Addy, and Vera, each of whom brought him tremendous joy.

He is also survived by his mother, Fran Wagner, his sister Laura Price (husband Darrell), his sister Lynn Waddell and his brother Bobby Wagner (wife Marie). He was preceded in death by his father Bob Wagner Sr., his sister Kim Hardy, and his brother Timothy Scott Wagner.

He is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews that he loved dearly and they adored him.

In 2017, Rocky accepted Christ as his Savior, a moment that transformed his life. He loved the Lord and was devoted to his church family at Charity Baptist Church. His faith was evident in the way he lived—with kindness, humility, and a servant’s heart. In his passing, Rocky continued that spirit of giving as an organ donor, blessing others with the gift of life.

A visitation will be held on FRIDAY, January 30, 2026, from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM at Charity Baptist Church, with a Celebration of Life service to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Charity Baptist Church Mission Trips; causes close to Rocky’s heart.

Rocky will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his work, his faith, and the unforgettable presence he brought into every room. His legacy will continue in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
