Robin Denise Austin Overcash, age 66, of China Grove, passed away on September 10, 2026, while at Tucker Hospice House after a period of battling cancer.

A gathering to celebrate her life will be held at Whitley’s Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, September 17.

Robin was born November 10, 1959, in Iredell County, a daughter of the late George W. and Millie Lunsford Austin, In addition to her parents, Robin was preceded in death by her sister, Rushie Austin Shue.

Robin was a lifelong area resident and graduated from South Rowan class of ’78. She grew up horseback riding and camping and was a licensed auctioneer. She worked for Allstate Insurance as a Claims Adjuster. Robin was an avid fan of NASCAR and a diehard Dale Earnhardt fan. Later in life, she took up riding motorcycles and owned several Harley Davidsons Robin was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her son, Tyler Overcash, of the family home and her twin grandchildren, Audrey and Avery Overcash. Robin is also survived by special friends; Lauri Ingle, Kathy Warden, Shelly Corriher, Tami Honeycutt, Donna Miller, Amanda Walker and Sue McCarson. The family wishes to send a special “thank you” to the “Wrenches”.
