Robert Lewis Starnes of China Grove, NC peacefully went to heaven on July 31, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Amy Starnes; daughter Tiffany (David) Abernathy of Spencer, NC; stepdaughter Christy Green of Salisbury NC; grandchildren Katelyn and Adalyn Abernathy and Hunter and Cody Green. He is also survived by a special mother-in-law, Roberta Thieman, his sisters Vickie (Tom) Monroe of Charlotte, NC ; Tammie Freeman of China Grove, NC; a brother, William Starnes of Salisbury, NC; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Frances Starnes and a brother, Garry Starnes.

Robert lived life to the fullest, was kind to everyone he met and loved his wife who he says was the best in the world. He enjoyed cooking for his family especially grilling out the food he loved. He never wanted to say goodbye, but the Lord called him home when it was his time. He wanted everyone to know that he loves them. He was so grateful to his beautiful wife Amy for taking care of him and loving him always he will be waiting in heaven to greet her with a great big hug and kiss.
