Robert Wayne Query

Robert Wayne Query, 71, of China Grove, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. He was born in Cabarrus County on June 11, 1954, to the late James and Betty Troutman Query.

Robert graduated from A.L. Brown High School in 1972. He worked installing siding and windows for over 30 years and was a craftsman of his trade. In 1975, he married Janice Small and they welcomed a son Justin Query in 1979. They welcomed their daughter, Melissa Query in 1984. In 2004, he married Sheryl Woodsom, and became stepdad to her only son, Michael Antonious. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent a lot of time camping in the mountains of Tennessee with friends and family.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Sheryl Query; his daughter, Melissa Query; his stepson, Michael Antonious; his four grandchildren, Addy Query, Amelia Query, Cameron Corcoran and Jayden Antonious; his siblings, Randy Query, Kenneth Pittman, Linda Russell and Laura Kent; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Justin Query; and two siblings, Gaye King and Jim Query.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Oct 18th at 4:00 pm at the VFW in Salisbury, 1200 Brenner Avenue, Salisbury, NC 28144.
