Obituary

Robert “Larry” Karriker, 84, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

Larry was born on August 12, 1941, in Mooresville. He was a cherished son of the late Garland Karriker and Effie Brawley Karriker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John Karriker and Wayne Karriker; his sisters, Barbara Cruse and Betty Rainwater.

Larry proudly served his country in the United States Navy and later worked for many years as a welder at Cannon Mills. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing in his younger years. Larry also loved watching classic Westerns and was a loyal Atlanta Braves fan. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 63 years, Bobbie Kimble Karriker; daughters, Lora Riddle (Ronnie) and Gina Jeffries (Rick); grandchildren, Hunter Robinette, Anna-Lee Riddle (Colby) and Will Jeffries; lifelong friend, John Cook; his grand-dog, River; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Salisbury at a later date.
