Robert "Bob" O. Elliott Sr.

Robert “Bob” O. Elliott Sr. 80, of Hudson, NC passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025 at his home.

He was born November 13, 1944 in Mecklenburg Co. to the late Robert Burton Elliott and Julia Caldwell Elliott.

Bob was a veteran of the Air Force serving during Vietnam, he was an aircraft mechanic. After serving the Air Force Bob went to work for the NC corrections he worked his way from guard to Correctional Superintendent 2 he retired after 32 years. He loved spending time with his family and his boys Loki, Scout, and Romeo.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years Rachel Ann Wilson Elliott, a son Kenneth Burton Elliott, sisters, Ruby Bungay and Betty Jean Sukkert, and one grandchild, Rickey Bentley.

Those left to cherish Bob’s memory, His wife of 13 years Michaelle Elliott, three daughters, Sherrie Annette Thompson (Rick) of China Grove, Terrie Lou Driver of Hudson, Susan Elaine Gould (Billy) of Cabool, MO, two sons, Robert O. Elliott Jr. (Christina), Carlos Miguel Soto both of Hudson, two sisters Mooneen Frady, and Shelia Stillwell, 12 grandchildren and 15 Great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, September 15, 2025, at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Craven officiating, burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park with Military graveside rites.

Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Monday at Whitley’s Funeral Home.
