Ricky Kennerly

Ricky Kennerly, 71, of Salisbury, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home on May 6,2025. He had been in declining health for 5 years.

Ricky was born December 10,1953, Iredell County, North Carolina, to the late Deemie and Charlie Kennerly. Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, sister Joyce Kennerly and brother Jerry Kennerly. Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Sherry Kennerly of 52 years, his daughter Jamie Feehan (Shawn) of China Grove, North Carolina, and his son Rodney Kennerly of Salisbury, North Carolina, his cherished grandchildren, Haylee Feehan, Paige Feehan, Jasmin Kennerly, Bella Grace Kennerly, and Eli Kennerly.

Ricky loved his family and was a Christian who loved the Lord. Ricky was a truck driver for many years. He worked for Fredrickson Motor Lines and Watkins Motor Lines, and retired at FedEx Freight. Ricky found joy in spending time with his family and friends. He will always be remembered for his good sense of humor. He enjoyed old western movies and Gunsmoke as well as watching Nascar racing. He loved music, especially Gospel. His favorite was, The Primitive Quartet and The McKamey’s. He loved being outdoors planting a garden and flowers as well as feeding birds. He also loved traveling to the beach with family which was his favorite place to relax. Ricky was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him and loving him.

Services for Ricky are private, Pastor Joel Ervin will officiate at the graveside for Ricky's  final resting place at West Lawn Cemetery.
