Richard Wise Prosser, 75, of Concord, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.

Richard was born on April 3, 1951, in Florence County, South Carolina. He was the cherished only child of the late Richard Prosser and Lennie Wise Prosser. 

A respected and dedicated chiropractor, Richard devoted decades of his career to the health and well-being of his patients. He spent many years practicing in Charlotte before moving his practice closer to home in Concord, where he became known throughout the community for his outgoing personality, his genuine warmth, and his unwavering dedication to his work and his family. Few things brought Richard greater joy than watching his children thrive. He was their most devoted supporter and took immense pride in each of their accomplishments. Richard was a gifted musician who could sing and play numerous instruments. He loved spending time at the beach, adored his dogs, and was an avid Carolina Panthers fan. He was a Christian and a faithful church member. Richard will be dearly missed by all who knew him. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Leslie Beltran Prosser; son, Richard Prosser (Katelyn); daughter, Lauren Burgess (Benjamin); daughter, Rosemarie Prosser; stepdaughter, Lavella Yesha Beltran; grandchildren, Louisa Wise Burgess and Benaiah “Bear” Burgess; and cousin, John Wise (Mae).
