Randy Logan Fortner

Randy Logan Fortner, 21 years old, of Kannapolis, passed away unexpectedly on May 21, 2023.  Randy was born on June 15, 2001, in Cabarrus County to Randy Lee Fortner and Angela Mae Goodman.

Randy attended A.L. Brown High School and went through the Kannapolis City Schools System.  He loved to ride dirt bikes, ATV’s, or anything with wheels as well as skateboarding.  He also liked to cook and drink his Modelo beer.

Randy was predeceased by his father, Randy Lee Fortner in 2016. He is survived by his mother, Angela Mae Goodman; his sister, Carmen Fortner; his nephew, Archer Jenkins; his maternal grandparents, Debbie Pittmon and her husband Mike and Steve Goodman and his wife Jean; his paternal grandparents, Peggy Clark and Guy Fortner; his girlfriend, Devin James and her son Aspen; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 6-8pm at Whitley’s Funeral Home.  A private cremation will follow.
