Pennie Steen Lee

Pennie Steen Lee, 66, of China Grove, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025. She was born March 30, 1959, to the late Claude and Beatrice Wingler Steen.

Pennie is survived by her son, Bryan Lee (Cayla); her grandsons, Bodie Lee and on the way, Banks Lee; her sisters, Barbara Campbell (Jay) and Robin Allison; her brother, Allen Steen (Tina); nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Susie Wooten and beloved dog Bella.

Pennie graduated from AL Brown High School and formerly worked at Hoechst - Celanese/Kosa in Salisbury. She was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church. Her hobbies included reading, watching animals and doing puzzles. She loved going to the beach and being in the sunshine. Pennie also adored her grandson, Bodie, and was excited to add another boy to the family.

A celebration of life will be held at Eastwood Baptist Church, 320 Cook Street in Kannapolis, at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 7th.
