Peggy (Austin) Linn

Peggy Austin Linn, 86 of Kannapolis passed away May 11, 2021. She was born August 22, 1934 in Union County, a daughter of the late Clarence and Ruth Austin. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Tom Linn in 2013.

Peggy was a teacher’s assistant for 27 years, mostly at the former Woodrow Wilson Elementary School. Following retirement, she volunteered at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital for 12 years. Peggy was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the J.L. Smith Sunday School Class. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

Peggy is survived by sons, Eric Linn (Laurie) of Huntersville, Mark Linn (Jennifer) of Kannapolis, David Linn (Julie) of Austin, Texas and daughter, Susan Linn Winstead of Huntersville, grandchildren, Hillary and Brian Linn, Carmen Setliff, Logan Winstead, George Linn, Theresa Black, and Caden and Evan Linn.

Private family services will be held at Whitley’s Funeral Home on May 22, 2021 officiated by Rev. Jim Watford.
