Pastor Ralph F. Robinette, 87, of Salisbury, joined our Lord and Savior on October 13, 2022.
Ralph was born on May 29, 1935, in Cabarrus County. He was a devoted son of the late Royal Robinette and Kathleen Robinette. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Caleb Osborne and Rebecca Sartain; and siblings, Richard Robinette, Earnest Robinette, Bonnie Wallace and S.L Robinette.
He lived a life devoted to the Lord. Ralph was a member of Centerview Baptist Church and served as a deacon at Landis Baptist Church. He was a Chaplain at Rowan Prison for 19 years. Ralph was also a Pastor at Liberty Baptist Church, Friendship Baptist of Concord, Rodgers Park Baptist Church as well as an assistant Pastor at Central Baptist Church. After graduating from A.L. Brown High School, Ralph was employed at Montgomery Wards and then K-Town Furniture. Ralph filled many roles throughout his 87 years, but the best were his family commitments as a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather.
Ralph's family and friends will remember him as the loving man he was his entire life. He loved taking long walks and bicycle rides. A man who loved his family and lived his life for God. Ralph's earthly life here is over but his eternal life has just begun. He inspired many to join the ministry and share the love of Christ with others.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Kimball Robinette, married for 67 years. Together they had daughters, Toy Ann Robinette Carter (Ronnie), Judy Kay Robinette Hoffman (Chris), Susan Marie Robinette Hobbs (Phil); and son, Jay Robinette; others left to carry on his memory include his grandchildren, Josh Osborne, Jason Sartain, Joy Kemp, Lindsey Hoffman, Luke Hobbs, Jacob Hobbs, Jesse Robinette, Josh Robinette, and Nathan Hoffman; six great- grandchildren; and brothers Ned Robinette (Jeroline) and Bill Robinette (Jo).
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on October 18, 2022 at Landis Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Austin and Rev. Curtis Parker officiating. Interment will immediately follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
