Norma Mae Tutherow, 83, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord Monday, October 12, 2026, from the comfort of her own home in Kannapolis, following a period of declining health. Norma was born November 14, 1942, in Rowan County, NC a daughter of the late Billy and Edith Lipe. Also preceding her in death husband of 56 years Clifford R Tutherow, granddaughter Caleigh M Tutherow, sisters Faye Hensley, Lois Segale, and her brother, Billy R Lipe.

Family members left to cherish her memory are his daughter Kim. T Harrelson of Kannapolis, one son, Todd Tutherow and wife Michelle of Kannapolis, sister Rachel Shulenburger (Bill), an estranged grandson, Kenny Harrelson (Courtney) and two great grandchild Krimson Harrelson and Rohen.

Norma was a lifelong member of Landis Baptist Church. She also had a long 25-year career as a weaver in #7 room at cannon mills plant 1. Norma loved traveling to see lighthouses and fishing with her best friend and husband Clifford as well as enjoyed cooking and baking. She was well known for the best pecan pies, mac-n-cheese, potato salad, and chicken casserole. Norma enjoyed quilting, word search, and sudoku in her spare time. She also was fond of bird watching at her feeders, especially cardinals and hummingbirds, was an avid card sender, loved riding to High Rock to the river, and watching her Braves baseball. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mom, grandmother, and a favorite aunt to her nieces and nephews.

Family would like to give a special thanks to the Tucker Hospice House for their kindness and support with their hospice care RN's and CNA's that took wonderful care of our mom.
