Nellie Louise (Mitchell) Brooks

Nellie Louise Mitchell Brooks, 87, of Kannapolis, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, June 16, 2024.

Nellie was born on November 30, 1936 in Iredell County, NC to the late Clarence Withers Mitchell and Virginia Gertrude Eudy Mitchell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Julian Brooks; sister, Donna Mitchell Austin; and brother, Robert Leon Mitchell.

Nellie lived a life full of love. She served faithfully as a church secretary, was a loyal friend, and always took great care of her family, friends and her beloved dogs. Her strength, independence and caring will be fondly remembered as her legacy.

Those left to cherish her memory include two nieces, Lora Ann Helms and Kristin Mitchell, and numerous other extended family members who will miss her dearly.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Carolina Memorial Park with Rev. Scott Maloney officiating.
