Neil Wayne Sliski

Neil Sliski, 88, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, at his residence in Kannapolis North Carolina. He was born June 15, 1937, in Syracuse, NY.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering and a master’s degree in aerospace engineering. He served active duty in the United States Air Force for three years obtaining the rank of Second Lieutenant.

Between his time in college, the Air Force, work career, and retirement, Neil lived in 8 different states. He enjoyed professional baseball and had season tickets to Cincinnati Reds for a number of years. He also enjoyed folk and bluegrass music and played the banjo and harmonica. He was inquisitive by nature and still enjoyed watching documentaries on space, physics, engineering and technology well into his 80s.

While in high school he rode in his first roadster automobile which sparked his love for that type of automobile. During his lifetime, he owned roadsters from Triumph, MGB, and Mazda.

Neil was proceeded in death by his wife Linda Kay Sliski. He is survived by his stepchildren Susie Goff, Jonathan Holbrook, and David Holbrook
