Nathan Clark Newman, 64, of Kannapolis, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026.

Nathan was born on January 8, 1962, in New Jersey. He was a cherished son of the late William Bertrum and Jackie Rowe Newman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Newman.

Nathan enjoyed working with his hands and took pride in gardening and welding fabrication. Creating and fixing things brought him joy. He also loved trips to the mountains, where he found peace in the outdoors and the beauty of nature. Nathan will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Anna Cecil Newman; daughter, Jamie Newman; son, William Newman; brother and sister-in-law, Perry and Vickie Newman; granddaughter, Karley Newman (Michael Cruz Aguilar); great-granddaughter, Esmeralda Newman Aguilar.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
