Mitchell Franklin Miller, 72, of Concord, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 26, 2025.

Mitch was born on January 24, 1953 in Cabarrus County. He was the cherished son of the late Donald Baker Miller and Leona May Mauney Miller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph “Cotton” Franklin Miller and Ethel Baker Miller.

Mitch proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, and later went on to become the owner and operator of Luxury Hosiery in Concord, a business he inherited from his father and led with dedication and pride.

A lifelong music lover, Mitch, found his heartbeat behind a drum set. Drumming wasn’t just a passion it was who he was. His music brought energy, joy, and connection to those around him.

He also found peace outdoors—camping, fishing, or just taking it easy surrounded by nature. If he wasn’t making music or telling jokes, he was probably manning the grill. Mitch was truly the “grill master,” he loved cooking, grilling, and smoking meats for anyone lucky enough to stop by.

He adored animals and shared a special bond with his Great Dane, Scooby; his Boxer, Loki; and his cat, Luna. They weren’t just pets, they were family.

He was funny, kind, and full of life, Mitch never met a stranger. He believed in good music, good food, good wine—and most of all, good company. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 34 years, Angela Graham; son, Josh Miller (Lauren); daughters, Alysha Brady and Miah Auman (Mitch); grandchildren, Carson Brady, Gavin Brady, Zoey Miller, and Em Miller; cousin, Kelly Crawford (Tom); and beloved mother in law, Evelyn Annette Graham.

A Celebration of Life to honor Mitch will be announced soon.
