Miriam Tucker Hudson

Obituary: Miriam Tucker Hudson, 86, of Kannapolis passed away Friday, October 31, 2014 at Big Elm Nursing Center. She was born on December 15, 1927 in Union County, SC. Miriam was the daughter of the late J. Dudley Tucker and the late Myrtle Skidmore Tucker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John N. Hudson, sister, Norma T. Humphries and a brother, J.D. Tucker, Jr. She was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church. Miriam had always loved gospel music and in her younger years, sang gospel with her mother (pianist) and sister. A memorial service will be held at Eastwood Baptist Church at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 officiated by Pastor Randall Ritchie. Private burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park. Miriam is survived by her step daughter, Kathy H. Morrison (Philip) of Davidson, a step son, Nelson W. Hudson of Albemarle, three step grandchildren, Sheila Lister (Ted) of Davidson, Philip Morrison, II (Heather) of Charlotte and Nathan Morrison of Davidson, four step great grandchildren, T.J., Scottie and Emily Lister all of Davidson and Mason Morrison of Charlotte and nephews and nieces.
