Milton Archie Lucas, Sr.

Obituary: Milton Archie Lucas, Sr., 69, of Kannapolis, NC passed away at his home on Friday, August 12, 2016. Milton was born on November 20, 1946 in Cabarrus Co., NC, the son of the late Roy Lucas and the late Carrie Ann Hemphill Lucas. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Dorton Lucas and a son, Ricky Lucas. Milton was of the Baptist faith, a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and true friend to those who knew him. He, with his son Roy owned South Ridge Auto Repair. Survivors include his two sons; Roy Elby Lucas (Pamela) and Milton A. Lucas, Jr. (Kimberly) all of Kannapolis; 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a special friend, Hal Overcash. A memorial service for Mr. Lucas will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, August 14th at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Robert Harrington and Dr. Mike Edwards. The family will receive friends at Whitley's from 1:30-3p.m. before the service.
