Milo Allen Standish, 88, of Kannapolis passed away peacefully on December 4, 2023, with family by his side.
Allen was born in Michigan on December 9, 1934, to the late Styles and Leola (Watkins) Standish. He graduated from Kalamazoo High School. Allen served his country in the US Navy and US Army for 7 years. He worked in the printing industry as a plate maker.
Allen married Regina Combs on July 28, 1979. They renewed their vows every twenty years.
The family that cherished him include his wife, Gina; his daughters, Samantha May, Amber Jhanell, Amanda Marie, Teresa Beth and Carol Turner; his sons, Jason Barnett, Tim Sheppard and Charlie Standish; his grandsons, Richard Allen, Sabastian Alexander, Sean Nelson, Nicholas Alan, Kaida “Spencer” Raine and Tristen Samuel; his granddaughters, Alanna Morgan, Lily Marilyn, Amanda Dawn and numerous others over the years; his brothers, Garold, Gordon, Leo Dean and last but certainly not least, Dennis “Denny” and Robert Earnhardt; his sisters, Joyce, Frieda, Gladys, Renee and Karen Sherrod. He has too many nephews and nieces to count but loves you all.
Allen was the most loving, genuine man God made on Earth. Loved by all and missed by all. He loved hunting, golf and played baseball and softball until he was 67 years old. His favorite holiday was Christmas both for the birth of Jesus Christ and the love of making his family happy. He played Santa for all his babies and those are precious memories. When the Christmas tree went up his eyes sparkled, and he never wanted it down.
His family will be lost without him but will celebrate all the precious time God gave us with him.
Always loved, never forgotten!
