Mary “Jannette” Rice Rogers, 70, of Kannapolis, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 17, 2026.

Jannette was born on August 31, 1955, in Cabarrus County. She was a cherished daughter of the late Paul James Rice and Rachel Leoma Harrington Rice. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Cameron Michael Elmore; and brother, Hal Overcash.

Jannette dedicated her career to caring for others as a caregiver, always putting the needs of others before her own. She enjoyed working word searches, talking on the phone with family and friends, and never turned down her favorite sweets. Jannette loved taking trips to Pigeon Forge with her beloved husband, Billy, cherished her church family at Wilmar Park Baptist Church, and adored her faithful dog, Daisy.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Billy Rogers; sons, Brian Heath Helms and Brandon Scott Helms (Kim); daughters, Jennifer Michelle Helms and Stephanie Nicole Helms; sisters Glenda Kay Clark and Sandra Newsome; brothers, James Talbert (Bobbie) and Paul “Buck” Talbert (Sheila); she was also blessed with 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Friday, July 24, 2026 at Wilmar Park Baptist Church in Concord. The memorial service will begin following the visitation at 12:00pm with Rev. David Wilson officiating. Burial will be at West Concord Cemetery.
