Mary Frances Craven

Mary Frances Craven, 87, of Kannapolis, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, at the Kannapolis Health and Rehab Center.

Born on November 14, 1938, in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Roy Riddle and Beulah Farrel Riddle. Mary dedicated her working years as a seamstress, a testament to her skilled hands and creative spirit. She found joy in simple pleasures, including puzzles, scratch-off games, and watching wrestling on television. Above all, Mary was known for her generous heart and her willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need.

An accomplished cook, she delighted in preparing meals for her family, creating lasting memories around the dinner table. Mary’s warm spirit and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Lucas, and seven siblings. Mary is survived by her daughter, Patricia Upright and husband Danny of Kannapolis; her son, Jerry Dale King and wife Wanda; her sister, Barbara Jean Drye of Lexington; as well as seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren

A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date.
