Margie Love Talbert

Margie Love Talbert, 98 years old, of Concord, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025. She was born January 28, 1927, daughter of the late Dolph B. Love and Minnie Miller Love of Harrisburg NC. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry P. Talbert; her son, Ricky Lynn Talbert; two brothers, D.B Love Jr and Cronie D. Love; three sisters, Eunice B. Love Hartman, Sally Love Hunsucker and Peggy L Taylor and an infant sister, Nell Alice Love.

Margie is survived by one son, Earl D. Talbert and wife Donna; two granddaughters, Rhiannon M. Talbert and Ashley R. Meendering and husband Jeff; three great grandsons, Jordon Hood, Jeff Meendering Jr and Nathan Meendering all of Concord.

She is also survived by one brother, Donald W. Love of Concord; two sisters, Rachel L. Furr and Yvonne L Furr of Concord; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Margie was employed at Cannon Mills for 30 plus years in the bedspread department in Concord and the sheet department in Kannapolis and at Concord Motor Speedway. Margie was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

Margie’s family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Whitley’s Funeral Home, 1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd., Kannapolis, NC. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Michael Waters officiating. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Park.
