Obituary: Margaret Elizabeth Faulkenberry Sloop, 95, of Concord passed away June 13, 2019 at Five Oaks Manor. She was born July 10, 1923 in Cabarrus County, a daughter of the late James Hoyle Faulkenberry and Margaret Elizabeth Winecoff Faulkenberry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Sloop, Jr. Margaret loved to read and do word search. She also was an exceptional cook. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, June 17, 2019 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends prior from 1 to 2. She is survived by her children, Janice McClamrock, Gene Sloop (Jane), David Sloop (Cindy), her grandchildren, Angie McClamrock, Rhonda Foster (David), Chris McClamrock (Becky), Brad Sloop, Ronald Sloop (Bekah) and 8 great grandchildren.
