Louis Watford, Jr.

Louis "Punkin" Watford, Jr., 67, of China Grove, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at his home.

Louis was born December 18, 1957, in Darlington County, South Carolina to the late Louis Watford, Sr. and the late Helen Kennedy Watford.

He was also preceded in death by siblings, David Watford and Janet Dalton.

Survivors include wife of 45 years, Pamela Hager Watford of the home; son, Brandon Watford (Sarah) of the home; grandchildren, Kailei Watford and Kobe Gardner; sisters, Gena Johnson (Richard) of Bolivia, NC, Carolyn Oneal of Kannapolis, NC, Sherry McGee (James) of China Grove, NC, and Kathy Campbell of China Grove, NC; many nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law, Rick Hager.

Louis was a kind and down-to-earth man who loved spending time outdoors and with the people he cared about. He enjoyed fishing, riding his dirtbike, and playing guitar by the fire while listening to music. He was also a loyal NASCAR fan. Louis valued time spent together with his friends and family, whether it was sitting around sharing stories or just enjoying each other’s company. He was always willing to help anyone who needed it, and those who knew him will remember his generous spirit and easygoing nature.
