Linda Gail (Bryant) Harward

April 20, 1944 — July 12, 2022

Kannapolis

Linda Gail Bryant Harward, 78 of Kannapolis passed away peacefully July 12,2022 at her home surrounded by her three daughters.  She was born April 20,1944 in Cabarrus County, a daughter of the late Fred and Sarah Parker Bryant.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, Richard Bryant.


Linda was a loyal member of Shadybrook Baptist Church for her entire life where she was involved in many areas of ministry.  Linda was employed by Brice J Willeford, Attorney at Law for 30 years followed by another 30 years with Hubbard & Associates.  Linda took pride in a job well done and it was not unusual to find her at the office all hours of the night and day.

Linda’s AL Brown ’62 classmates held a special place in her heart and she enjoyed keeping classmates updated on life events and helping plan the class reunions and keeping everyone connected through the years.

Linda loved being on the go  - this included concerts with all types of music (Elvis and Bob Segar were always at the top of her playlist), shopping and more shopping, and traveling anywhere at anytime.

Her family was the true joy of her life!  She looked forward to the annual beach trip and Sunday lunches with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, William Harward, Jr., daughters, Traci Ashbaugh (Jeff) of Kannapolis, Amy Hornbeak (Scott) of Concord, Sheri Durham (Rocky) of Salisbury.  Seven Grandchildren, Allison Ashbaugh, Anna Ashbaugh, Adam Ashbaugh Justin Hornbeak, Jenna Hornbeak, Daniel Durham, Sarah Durham.  Sister-in-law, Sandra Bryant. Three Nephews, Ricky Bryant, Randy Bryant, Robby Bryant.

A funeral service will be held at 3pm on Sunday, July 17,2022 at Shadybrook Baptist Church in Kannapolis.  Officiated by Rev. Charlie Littlejohn.  Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.  Her family will receive friends from 4-6pm Saturday at Whitleys Funeral Home.
