Linda M. Bowlin

Linda M. Bowlin, 79, of Kannapolis, went to be with her Lord on Friday, December 5, 2025. She was born in Cabarrus County on January 9, 1946, to the late Ermon and Frances Barrier Moss. Linda was also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Max Bowlin in 2021.

Linda retired from Cannon Mills, when they closed their doors, with over 40 years of faithful service. She was a member of Brookdale Baptist Church. Linda was an avid Carolina Panthers fan. She loved to read and watch old TV shows. She enjoyed cooking for her family, and they loved her country cooking. She loved her children and especially her grandchildren. Linda will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Rodney (Amy) Bowlin; Mark (Angie) Bowlin and their son, Caleb Bowlin; and Steve (Kisha) Bowlin and their daughters, Jena and Brooklyn Bowlin. She is also survived by her brother, David Moss; her nephew Randy Bowlin and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 pm Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Whitley’s Funeral Home. A funeral service to remember and celebrate Linda’s life will begin at 1:00 pm Tuesday in the chapel with Demps Overcash officiating. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Park.
