Leroy Dean Wheeler

Leroy Dean Wheeler, 61, of Salisbury, NC, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Atrium Health Cabarrus. He was born on February 11, 1964, in Beckley, WV, to the late Thamer Thurman Wheeler and Ramona Darleen Vaught Wheeler.

Leroy was a devoted individual whose passions were evident in the simple joys of life. He found great comfort in watching television and sipping on his favorite coffee. His love for working on cars was a testament to his hands-on nature, and he cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Leroy's warmth and affection will be dearly missed by all his friends and family who were fortunate enough to know him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Kenneth Wheeler, and his siblings: brothers Roger, Curtis, Thamer, and Greg, along with sister Yvonne Tucker. Their memories undoubtedly left a profound impact on his life.

Leroy is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Norma Jean Wheeler, along with his five children, grandchildren, and great-grandbaby. He also leaves behind a surviving brother and sisters, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will carry forward his legacy.

As we honor Leroy's memory, we are reminded of a soul who embraced life with passion, commitment, and love. May he go rest high on that mountain, and may his spirit soar on wings of peace. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of loving him.
