Larry Lee Daniel

Obituary: Larry Lee Daniel, 68, of Kannapolis, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019 at his home after a period of declining health. Graveside Services will be held, 2:00 PM Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. prior to the committal service at Whitley's Funeral Home. Larry was born June 16, 1950 in Mecklenburg Co. a son of the late Charles Cook and Lena Hagler Daniel; in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Ray Daniel and his granddaughter, Monica Burrell. He was a graduate of Garinger H.S. class of 1968, Larry worked as a tool and die maker for Modern Mold and Tool, and then as a parts maker with Ronson Hydraulics, making parts for stealth bombers and later as a parts inspector with Magna International. He loved gardening and his dogs, Nani, Black Tongue, Ginger. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be dearly missed. Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 38 years, Cathy Soles Daniel of the home, son Larry Daniel Jr. of KY, sons, Joey Benfield, Jimmy Benfield and John Burrell all of Kann, and daughter Heather Miller of TN, also survived 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
