Kyle Alexander Rice, 27, of Mooresville and formerly Charlotte, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, April 29, 2024.
A gathering to celebrate Kyle’s life will be held at Whitley’s Funeral on Saturday, May 4th. His family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 PM prior to his funeral at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
Kyle was born July 18, 1996, at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville, the eldest son of David and Kara Rice. He has 3 brothers, Kaylen, Kameron, Konnor, a niece, Keely and nephew, Jaxton. He also leaves behind his precious fur baby Young Gus, many dear friends, his maternal grandfather who preceded him in passing, maternal grandmother, paternal grandparents, aunt, uncles, and cousins.
Kyle was Baptized at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church and later at Mecklenburg Community Church. He lived the majority of his life in the Charlotte area and graduated from Mallard Creek High School in 2014. From an early age, Kyle was interested in sports, gaming, going to the beach and hanging out and having awesome experiences with his friends and family.
His first job was working at Chuck E. Cheese and then as a manager of Jimmy Johns. At the time of his passing, Kyle worked for Cardinal Logistics/Ryder where he recently accepted a promotion as supervisor over a new account and was looking forward to growing with the Cardinal/Ryder Family.
Kyle loved to play Trivia Games and was in a league with his friends. He loved listening to music with Punk Rock being his favorite, playing games on his Xbox with his friends and brothers, spending time with his niece and nephew, and being with his friends and family. Kyle truly was trying to live life to the fullest and had goals that he was well on his way to meeting.
Kyle was a loving and devoted son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed.
