Kenneth Eugene “Homer” Barnett of Rockwell, NC passed away in his home on December 24th, 2023, at the age of 67. Born on March 12th, 1956, in Cabarrus County, NC to Vivan and Peggy Barnett and lovingly raised by Peggy Barnett and Harold Price. Homer leaves his wife of 27 years, Linda Barnett.
Ken was a hard-working man, with exceptional skill in wood crafting and design. Being a jack of all trades, he could literally build anything. He was a very social guy with a million-dollar smile. Ken's friends enjoyed his playful sense of humor and true companionship, whether hanging out daily at the shack with buddies or playing a game of cards at the VFW or American Legion Hart Post. Everyone knew him as one of his playful nicknames, “Homer” or “Flip Flop”. Ken also spent countless hours with his girls and other family spending time together at the lake on weekends, cruising around in the boat or simply relaxing at home on the front porch, "Just a swingin". He was a man that would help you in any way that he could and will truly be missed.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Vivan and Peggy Barnett; one sister, Cindy Barnett; one brother, James Barnett, and stepfather, Harold Price and son-in-law, Ronnie Sizemore.
Ken leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Linda Barnett; three daughters, Shelly (Doug) Capps, Carla (Jeff) Dingman, Angela (Ivan) Bautista; one sister, Vickie Austin; one brother Roger (Sylvia) Barnett; four stepdaughters, Sherry Sizemore, Carolyn (Laura Morris) Honeycutt, Wendy (Jimmy Nelson) Honeycutt, Lisa Honeycutt and one stepson Ronnie (Misty) Gaultney; 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a host of nieces.
