Kathryn Treece Miller

Obituary: Kathryn Elaine Treece Miller, 69, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017 at her residence, following a period of declining health. Born February 12, 1948 in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Otis Raymond and Opal Clove Smith Treece. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her brothers, James William, Kenneth Otis and Bobby Ray Treece; and a sister Sarah Lou Treece. Mrs. Miller had retired from Philip Morris and was a member of Piedmont Baptist Church in Kannapolis. A loving mother and grandmother, she loved all her family and especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren. Kathy also had a special love for her Chihuahua, "Sassy". Family members include her children, Mitchell Eugene Miller, Sammy Leonard Miller (Meredith), Bucky Leon Miller (Anne) and Tiffany Elaine Miller; her grandchildren Jessica, Destiny, Madison, Zoie and Brayden Miller, Brittney Moritz, Chandler Covington and Aubrey Kerr. The family will receive friends Monday, July 24th from 6:00-8:00 p at Piedmont Baptist Church, 5870 Wright Rd., Kannapolis. Funeral services to remember and celebrate Mrs. Miller's life will begin at 11:00 am Tuesday at the church, conducted by Dr. Mike Edwards and Joey Spry. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
