Judy Beaver, a beloved substitute teacher and cherished matriarch, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on November 14, 1940, in Rowan County, North Carolina, Judy's life was defined by her strong family values and a deep commitment to education.

Judy was a proud graduate of Landis High School, class of 1959, where she was Ms Christmas, dedicated herself to fostering a learning environment for the young minds she encountered as a substitute teacher. Her warmth and nurturing spirit made a lasting impact on students and colleagues alike, as she brought joy and encouragement into their lives. Prior to her time as a substitute teacher, she also enjoyed career stints at Pilot Life and Food Lion. 

Beyond her professional endeavors, Judy was known for her love of family and the traditions that brought them together. She was particularly fond of Christmas decorations, finding joy in creating festive atmospheres for her loved ones to enjoy. Their gatherings often featured her passion for antiques and auctions, as well as vibrant shopping excursions to discover unique treasures. Judy's favorite getaway was Gatlinburg, where she would revel in nature's beauty with her family.

Judy is survived by her daughters, Kelley (Dennis) Williams and Traci Sharp; her sister, Myra (Paul) Patterson; her nephews, Chris Honeycutt and John Honeycutt; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Williams, Alex (Nicole) Williams, Kyle (Brandi) Sharp, and Cody Sharp; as well as her great-grandchildren, Nathan Williams, Connor Odden, Caleb, and Chloe. Each of these individuals holds a cherished memory and a piece of Judy's heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Mildred Casper, and her husband, Kyle Beaver. The legacy of Judy’s nurturing spirit and dedication to her family will continue to resonate through the lives of those she touched.

A private graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery in China Grove, North Carolina.
