Judith A. (Worthington) Thomas

Judith A. Thomas (Worthington), age 67, of Kannapolis died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 10, 2021, while on vacation in Hilton Head, SC.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 16 at Faith Baptist Church with Rev. James Pauley officiating, Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Friday, prior to her funeral.

Judith was born May 31, in Macomb IL, a daughter of the late Bernard and Clara Walker Worthington. In addition to her parents, Judith was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Randy Worthington and James B. Worthington.

Judith graduated from Bushnell Prairie City High School and worked as a CNA. She moved to Kannapolis to be nearer to her children, working as a CNA in Charlotte/Kannapolis until she retired. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Judy was very helpful to those all around her because of her big heart. Judy loved everyone she came in contact with, and never met a stranger. She will be loved and missed very much!

Those remaining to cherish her memories include her son, Jeremy & Angel Worthington and her 2 daughters, Amber Gill and Vivian Thomas and her 7 grandchildren, Marissa Worthington, Albert J., Eric M, Chad A, and Kelsey A Gill, Christopher V. Neal and Kingston T. Brown and 1 great-grandchild, MaryJane Gill. She is also survived by 2 brothers; Donnie Worthington and Bruce Worthington and 2 sisters; Velva Nelson and Tina Baker.
