John Monroe Fink, 78, of Landis, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at his residence.
John was born October 11, 1944 in Cabarrus County. He was a cherished only son of the late Roy Fink and Mabel Morrison Fink.
John was not only a talented musician but also a devoted family man and a passionate aficionado of hot rods and car shows. His life was a harmonious blend of music, speed, and the joys of life. He was a rockstar in every sense of the word. He rocked the stage as a member of "The Delmonicos," bringing music to life that made us all dance.
Family was everything to John, and he lived for the moments spent with his loved ones. He was a doting family man.
When he wasn't making music, John was all about hot rods and car shows. He lived for the thrill of the race and proudly collected trophies at these events.
And let's not forget his love for food, especially chicken wings, cookies, and desserts. He had a sweet tooth as big as his heart.
John was an inactive member of Charity Baptist Church. Even when he was unable to attend church; his church always stayed near and dear to his heart. John had unwavering faith in the Lord, which guided his kind and graceful spirit. He touched many lives with his warmth.
In addition to all his passions, John was a proud Vietnam Army veteran who served his country with honor and bravery. His dedication to his country was a testament to his character. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 37 years, Beulah Fink; children, Aaron Fink (Joye), Penny Purser (Randy), and Grady Long; grandchildren, Abbey, Claudia, Tanner, Whitney, and one great-grandchild, Kayden; cousin, Vicky King; special friends, Larry Bell and Vicky and Keith Poteat.
