Jerry "Stephen" McInnis Jr.

Jerry “Stephen” McInnis Jr., 41, of Albemarle, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025.

Stephen was born on July 22, 1983 in Cabarrus County. He was a cherished son of the late Ruth Haggin and Jerry Stephen McInnis Sr. In addition to his mother, Stephen was preceded in death by his niece, Kendra L. Wilson.

Stephen was a true outdoorsman who found joy and peace in hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature. His love for the land was matched by a lifelong interest in his Scottish heritage, which he explored with curiosity and pride. Family and friends will remember Stephen for his quiet nature and deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.

Those left to cherish his memory include his father, Jerry McInnis Sr.; siblings, Kellie McInnis, William McInnis, Amy McInnis, Beth Click (Tim), Tammy Maynard; Stephen was also blessed with many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive  friends from 1:30pm- 2:30pm on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
