Jason ‘Bucky’ Adams, 53, of China Grove, NC, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, August 16, 2026.
Jason was born January 18, 1973, in Cabarrus County, North Carolina to Jimmy and Gay Adams.
Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Evelyn Brown, Edward and Imogene Adams, and his uncle, Dennis Brown.
Those left to cherish Jason’s memory include Jimmy and Gay Adams, his daughter, Alexis Parson-Adams, his aunt Sandra Brown, Starr Adams, an ex-wife that remained family, his ‘brother’ Phil Rogers, and his dogs Mouse, Ana, and Punkin.
Jason graduated from South Rowan High School, class of ’91. Jason spent his life appreciating and working on vehicles alongside his dad at Adams Automotive. Jason shared a passion for firearms with his Uncle Dennis, who taught him how to shoot at 10 years old. Jason began deconstructing and reconstructing toys at a young age, and continued ‘tinkering’ as an adult. Jason loved all things rock and roll and music related. One of Jason’s favorite pastimes was listening to music and playing drums and guitars. Jason was an avid movie watcher and reader, who loved Star Wars, Ghostbusters, and Guinness book of World Records. Jason was a kind soul, who loved his friends, family, and animals deeply. Most importantly, Jason loved being a father.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. McKenzie Sefa officiating, burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Visitation will be prior from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Whitley’s Funeral Home.
