Jarett Michael Haynes, 41, of Kannapolis died unexpectedly at home Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
A funeral service to celebrate Jarett’s life will be held 11:00 AM Monday, September 30 at Whitley’s Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mark Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Whitley’s Funeral Home from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Sunday, September 29.
Jarett was born September 8, 1983, in Concord, NC, a son of Carl L. and Sharon Melton Haynes of Kannapolis. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Orene Jordan and Betty Haynes and his aunt, Robin Furr and his favorite uncle, Jimmy Melton. In addition to his parents, Jarett is survived by his daughter, Skylar Noelle Haynes of Kannapolis, who was the “Heart and Happiness in his life”, his brother, Jason N. Haynes (Jenni) and his nephews, Colton and Brayden Haynes, all of Michigan. He is also survived by his aunts, Tracy Wilber (Sean) of Pensacola FL, Teresa Drake (Paul) of Richmond VA, and many great-aunts, uncles and cousin, who will miss him.
Jarett was a lifelong resident of Kannapolis and attended A. L. Brown High School. He loved the game of Baseball and played baseball many years for Kannapolis Dixie Youth and in middle school. Jarett worked with his dad for years doing commercial insulation. He also worked at a machine shop in Kannapolis and as a technician at a local HVAC company.
Jarett was a “tinkerer” and a “Jack of many trades”. He was at his best when working on something with his hands.
