Janice Claire Thompson

Janice Claire Fisher Thompson, 78, of China Grove, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.

Janice was born on September 25, 1946 in Cabarrus County. She was a cherished daughter of the late Walter Fisher and Juanita Hudson Fisher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Myra Bryan.

Janice was someone who found joy in the simple things; fresh flowers, holiday lights, music playing in the background. She had a special place in her heart for flowers, especially when they were in full bloom. Janice also loved all music but especially '70s rock. If there was a season that truly captured her spirit, it was Christmas. She loved everything about it, from the lights, to music, and the decorations. Janice had a deep love for animals, especially her dogs.

But above all, she loved her family and had deep devotion to those she loved. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Robert Thompson; Children, Andy Thompson, Meredith Fink (Jeremy), David Deal, and Joseph Deal; grandchildren, Ashlyn Bensley, Jeremy Fink Jr. and Carolyn Fink; great grandson, Greyson Bensley and brother, Danny Fisher.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am on Monday, June 30, 2025 at Whitley’s Funeral Home in Kannapolis. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 11:00 am in Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Liz Fisher Officiating. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
