James Franklin Sleezer, 85, of Kannapolis passed away November 10, 2022. Jim was born April 30, 1937 in Keokuk, Iowa, a son of the late Harold and Nancy Sleezer. He was preceded in death by a sister, Bettyann Hall and a nephew, Gene V. Hall.
Jim is survived by a son, Stephen Sleezer of Omaha, Nebraska; daughters, Cheryl Sleezer, Candace Sleezer, Janene Conner (Jeff), California; sister, Karen Sleezer Doherty (Terry) of Ontario, Oregon; grandchildren: Joele Engel (Jacob) and Randy Sleezer, Omaha, Nebraska, Jake and Kate Connor; nieces, Virginia McCombs (Willard) of Kannapolis and Cindi Stewart of China Grove, niece-in-law Jeri Hall of Kannapolis, nephew Keith Flynn (Nicole) of Las Vegas, Nevada, great nieces and nephews; Jennifer Nawrocki (Eddie), B.J. McCombs, Nathan Kennedy, Shanna Stewart, Joshua Hall (Dawn), Andrew Hall and many great-great nieces and nephews; cousins, Beverly Sleezer, Thelma Sleezer Taylor, Bill Sleezer and Jerry Sleezer; cousin-in-law, Fred Hughes; and two special friends, Judy White and Joan Emerson.
Jim was a member of First Reformed Church in Landis where he participated in a Mission Trip to Lynch, Kentucky, gave to many children’s events and loved to attend the new member class to share his life’s story and conversion to belief in Jesus Christ.
