James Thomas Caldwell

James “Jim” Thomas Caldwell, 71, of Concord died Friday, December 9, 2023 at his home after a period of declining health. Private services will be held at a later date.

Jim was born August 25, 1952, in Ashe Co., a son of the late Tom and Virginia Pollard Caldwell. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his son, Sean Stafford.

Jim was a class A Lineman all his life. His work and legend is talked about Nation Wide. Jim loved the mountains and was an avid outdoorsman. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be dearly missed.

Jim leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Jean Caudill Caldwell, one son, one daughter, one brother, 3 sisters, 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and his boxer whom he loved, Ginger.
