Harold W. Goins, 95, of Kannapolis, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2026.

Harold was born on September 15, 1930 in Cabarrus County. He was a cherished son of the late Vol and Annie Goins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by all his brothers and sisters; and his son-in-law, Buddy Kluttz.

Harold was a proud Army Veteran who faithfully served his country with honor. After his military service, he dedicated over 28 years of hard work and commitment to AT&T before retiring. Harold was also a lifelong member of First Wesleyan Church in Kannapolis, where his faith and fellowship were an important part of his life.

Harold had a deep love for sports, especially baseball, football, and racing. He was a devoted Duke fan and rarely missed a chance to cheer on his favorite team. He also enjoyed spending time watching classic westerns, especially Gunsmoke. Harold treasured time with his beloved dog, Wiggles, who brought him constant companionship and joy.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, JoAnn Smith Goins; daughters, Lisa Kluttz  and Teresa Willis (Ronnie); Grandchildren, Brooke Kluttz, Brittney Horn, Darryle Willis, and Zachary Willis (Sarah); great- grandchildren, Rylan Willis, Lilly Horn, Graham Horn, Daxton Willis, and Nolan Willis.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
