Gloria Collins Casper, 74, of Kannapolis, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on March 27, 1951, in Cabarrus County, Gloria was the daughter of the late Arlie and Blanche Collins. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Eric Collins.

Gloria was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and cherished sister and aunt. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Phillip Casper; two sons, Patrick Casper and wife Holly and Jeff Goforth and wife Marleen; sister, Sheila Gryder; favorite grandson, Paxton Casper; and nephews, Matt Gryder and Clint Gryder.

Gloria loved her family dearly and found great joy in spending time with them, especially her adored grandson, Paxton. She cherished family holidays and was known for her warm, welcoming spirit — her home was always open, and all who entered were made to feel like family. Gloria especially enjoyed trips to the mountains of Tennessee, with Gatlinburg holding a special place in her heart.

Her kindness, strength, and the deep love she shared with those around her will be remembered always.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Visitation for Gloria will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2025, 5:00 to 6:00 PM at Whitley’s Funeral Home, 1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd., Kannapolis, NC. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM in Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Concord, NC.
