Glenn Edgar Ramseur

Glenn Edgar Ramseur, 83, of Harrisburg, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at his home after a period of declining health.

A funeral service celebrating Glenn's life will be held at the Multiply Church's Suite 15 (formerly Concord First Assembly) at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, with Pastor Steve Hargett officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park of Harrisburg. The family will receive friends at Suite 15 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Glenn was born January 25, 1940, in Cabarrus Co., a son of the late George E. and Blanche Pless Ramseur. In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by two brothers, Flavius and Donald Ramseur. Glenn was a lifelong area resident and longtime member of CFA/Multiply Church in Concord. He graduated from Winecoff High School in 1958. He worked for CSI Incorporated in Harrisburg for 35 years until retirement. Glenn loved sports. He was an avid golfer and played semi-pro baseball. His favorite ball team was the Atlanta Braves.

Those who are left to cherish his memory include his wife of 62 years, Linda Townsend Ramseur, his sons, Mark Ramseur of Harrisburg and David Ramseur of Charlotte. Glenn is also survived by his brother Dolphas Ramseur and several nieces and nephews.
