Obituary: George Washington Barts, Jr. Mr. George W. Barts, Jr., 90, of Kannapolis died at the V.A. Hospital in Salisbury on Wednesday, October 27,, 2010. Mr. Barts was born on May 15, 1920 in Cabarrus County, the son of the late George W. Barts and the late Martha Elizabeth Oakley Barts. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving with the U.S. Army. He is survived by a friend, Mary Crook Beaver of Granite Quarry. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, Oct. 29th at Carolina Memorial Park.
Visitation:
2-3:30 P.M. Friday, Oct. 29, 2010 at Whitley's Funeral Home
Service:
Graveside service at 4 P.M. Friday, Oct. 29th at Sunset Cemetery.
Interment:
Sunset Cemetery, Kannapolis.
