Fumiko Griggs

Obituary: Fumiko Ikeda Lineberger Griggs, age 70, of Kannapolis passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House. Fumiko was born February 23, 1947 in Arita, Japan, the daughter of the late Hisako Kuohara Ikeda and Solgi Ikeda. She was a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed trips to the mountains and the beach and visited Japan many times. Fumiko was very giving with her time to help others. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Richard Stuart Griggs whom she married August 6, 1994; sons Michael Lineberger and Jason Lineberger and wife Jessica; brother Noboru Ikeda of Japan; sister Misako Ikeda; grandchildren Jordan, Dylan, Gabriella and Gracie. Visitation: 10:30-12 Noon Monday, July 24, at First Presbyterian Church of Kannapolis. Service: 12 Noon Monday, July 24, at First Presbyterian Church of Kannapolis conducted by Rev. Dr. Darryl Evans with burial to follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to DAV, PO Box 14301 Cincinnati, OH 45250 or to Kannapolis Police Dept., Cops Target Kids for Christmas fund, 401 Laureate Way, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
